PREVIEW: Portsmouth Multicultural Festival
GET down to Southsea this Sunday to enjoy a spectacular free multicultural festival.
The popular outdoor event, now in its 13th year, will feature live music on two stages, children's and adults' workshops, ethnic craft stalls and food to tantalise your palate.
The festival brings together people from across Portsmouth to celebrate diversity.
Acts will include reggae band Ebony Rockers who will get the crowd dancing in no time with their sweet, melodic music and Kausary who will take the audience on a musical journey, from Andean to Latin sounds.
Other highlights include Teeze, with their brand of African tinged soul, Asian drumming from Dholi'z, Thai dancing, Flamenco dancing and a Chinese lion dance.
The workshops will feature a drumming circle courtesy of Drum 4 Fun, music, dance, face painting and T-shirt making.
The event has become one of the most important festivals in the city's cultural calendar and is attended by thousands of people.
Join in the fun at Castle Field, adjacent to Southsea Castle, from 10am.
