Preview: The Awake Project
A MULTI-TALENTED cast of international actors, musicians, dancers, jugglers and acrobats are preparing to dazzle Hampshire.
They will perform the only UK preview of an exciting new theatre production at The Point, Eastleigh in just three weeks time.
The Awake Project is the creation of respected director Christopher Sivertsen, a long-standing member of Poland's award-winning Song of the Goat Theatre.
The company, which has toured the world, has been hailed the most exciting and innovative of the new avant-garde theatre movements in Poland.
The Awake Project, which will be performed on Friday, September 19 at 7.30pm, is Sivertsen's first project as an individual artist.
He has assembled an impressive ensemble of performers to create, over several months in several countries, a new work exploring questions of life and health using text, movement and live music.
It exposes a person's struggle through illness and pain, hopes and fears and at last their recovery and survival.
The company will spend five days working at The Point before presenting their work in progress to audiences. It will be followed by a post-show discussion.
Tickets cost £5. Call the box office on 023 8065 2333 or visit thepointeastleigh.co.uk.
