THE DAILY Echo launches its search to find Hampshire’s best carer for children. The competition is aimed at encouraging parents and children to nominate a childminder, play worker, nursery nurse or anyone who has made a real difference while caring for their child. We are calling on all those families who use the hundreds of childminders, nurseries, pre-schools and afterschool and holiday clubs to nominate those individuals who have made a difference.

We want to hear your stories and meet the people who have gone that extra mile when looking after youngsters.

We hope to showcase the best childcare that is available in the city by launching our search for Hampshire’s Carer for Children 2008.

By filling out the form below or by nominating online we want to hear your stories about how your child carer makes a difference to your child’s upbringing.

A panel of judges will draw up a shortlist of the best entries before the winner and runners up are chosen and announced at a special awards ceremony.

Along with the title of Carer for Children 2008, the winners will also receive a special prize. The families who have nominated the winners will also receive a prize at the celebration event.
