SIX of the glamour industry's biggest stars were in Southampton last night searching for the world's next top glamour model.

FHM High Street Honeys winners Hayley Parsons, from Chandler's Ford, Charlotte McKenna and Lisa Helen Ralph, plus models Sammie Pennington, Madison Welch and Casey Batchelor were searching for a star with the Global Glamour Girls event at Ninety Degrees.

The event was a chance for the girls of the south to prove The Sun newspaper wrong. Their survey of the UK's sexiest girls saw Southampton finish in the bottom ten.

Since then, Power FM DJ Ben Glover has started a campaign called I'm a Sexy South Coast Girl.

Dozens of members of his Facebook group turned up in a bid to win the model competition.

Surely if all these people were searching for a star at ninety degrees they would be looking straight at the ground. Would these girls just be judged only on their legs or will they judged by their entire natural beauty (Plus a bit of make up)

Give it a year and the six "top models" will be old hat and back to modeling in zoo's readers wife sections again. I hate the modeling industry and the people who work for it. Girls when your looks go what are you going to do? Start your own model agency and **** about your models in a degrading but supposedly constructive critical way? Ha.

Well I think they're all really nice girls...and you just have to look at Jordan to see where it can take you. She has her own chat show. You basically have to ignore what people say about you mainly as there is always someone around to criticize. Maybe your life's aren't anything to write home about. Good luck to you girls.

what a load of cobblers this story is. if these girls were really so big, how come none of them are household names like lucy pinder or keeley hazell??? as far as i'm concerned, some of these models should do something original instead of wearing fake tan and slap. real sexiness doesn't need a lot of slap and isn't looking orange either.

if these girls are so glamorous, how come they used this event as an excuse to get completely smashed. they even seemed proud of it too!! Hardly acting glamorous if you ask me. its people like them who sum up all that is wrong with modern britain. a binge drinking culture where earning money from getting your boobs out is more admired than hard graft. its not all their fault, if there were decent well paid jobs that ordinary girls could get it would help. unfortunately, its the media's obsession with jordan that has created a generation of fake tanned, orange skinned wannabes who try to imitate her look thinking they can make as much money as her. there's only one jordan, try something original!!! just copying her is boring!!!

it's interesting to read the negative stereotype u guys have on us models, I don't blame you! How many of u writing these comments actually came down to night an had a chat with us? Humm not one I bet, and as for the comment about what we do once we turn into old bags and Cant pout anymore well of course by then we should have surly blagged ourselves a rich footballer and wouldn't need to worry! To be honest us models don't wear anymore fake tan than the rest of the female population u ask any guy if u has experienced the wonderful smell of chicken curry lying next to him at night only to wake up to bed sheets in the lovely shade of orange! All people seem to do these days is moan about everything! Chillout, if it really bothers u that much then you do have a choice not to go to the model nights, no one is forcing u to read the magazines! Above all I had a really good night and so did the rest of the girls! Cheers Southampton! Right I must go I have false nails, false eye lashes, false hair, false legs, fake tan to put on before I go walk the dog! Bye!

I find it amazing how bitchy people will get over something so harmless. Whether you care to accept it those girls are at the top of thief proffession, being in all the big magazines may not seem a big deal to you but if your a model then that's your aim and when they achieve it I say well done to them. As for the two most stupid comments, they are not "copying" Jordan, she did not invent modeling it was around a long time before her and will be a long time after. Secondly someone thinks that this night shows all that's wrong in Britain? Get a life will you. Watch the news you half wit, there is plenty going on to worry yourself about than some girls getting paid to have a good time. The biggest problem is people in Britain are so bitter and jealous of success they spend most of their time slagging of those doing well for themselves which is a shame.

ive seen ALL of these girls in the magazines and papers. charlotte mckenna is hot and madison is amazing, they are all top glamour girls. there will never be another lucy pinder and keeley hazel because no one gives new girls a chance,my sister wanted to be a glamour model but she got turned down because they told her she was too FAKE looking! none of these glamour girls wear fake tan so quit slagging them off and being jealous!

well if u think that how come there's far more model wannabes ever since jordan made it big??? plus to say they don't wear fake tan, that's utter bull of course they do. none of their "beauty" is natural. its all down to fake tan, air brushing and the like...
as for being at the top no chance, how many of these girls have been in loaded, or page 3 of the sun??? surely if they were at the top they would have been in one of these???? ok, if u think having a culture where shallowness and getting ur boobs out is to be admired then u're the fool. the people we should be looking up to are the carers, nurses, doctors, those who do charity work etc. not binge drinking self obsessed shallow types! not just models mind u this is aimed at any body who is a big brother wannabe, an IT girl or anybody else of that type. do something which actually helps the starving, the sick, the elderly, that would show some class

actually getting ur boobs out is not harmless, it creates a sexualised perception of women. This along with the interviews which constantly talk about their sex lives and seeing them bing drinking gives a really negative impression of women. Equal rights is not about copying the worst aspects of men. Women should be aiming to get to tbe top on their brains and abilities and not on using their breasts!!! This sets women's equality back years as most young women now want to be models. LIke it or not while JOrdan was not the first model, she is the one they all copy. You can't deny the influence she has had. How many women copy her look (including a lot of these models). Yes she is entitled to do what she wants and fair play to her. Surely though we should be using female doctors, scientists, nurses, teachers and so on as role models instead of glamour models . That is to say women who actually contribute something worthwhile to society.
