ONE of the most exciting rock 'n' roll bands in the world at the moment will be playing the south coast in December.

Kings of Leon play the BIC's Windsor Hall on December 14.

The boys from the USA will return to Bournemouth after a triumphant sell out gig in July last year with a summer of festival fortune behind them and new material to show off.

Kings of Leon are a family affair, taking their name from three of the band's father, a Southern-States preacher named Leon with whom they spent their childhood on the road.

You'll know hits like Molly's Chambers, The Bucket and On Call from their three albums that have seen them climb to the top of the indie-rock scene.

Caleb Followill's raspy southern drawl combines with unkempt, wailing guitars and driving drums to create a sound that harks back to punk and Led Zeppelin while remaining fresh.

n Tickets: £25 from bic.co.uk or 0844 576 3000.
